Courtney Menefee named Chief Lending Officer at Armor Bank

Courtney Menefee will be Armor Bank’s Chief Lending Officer of both the bank and its holding company, Big Creek Bancshares, Inc. Menefee will head efforts to expand Armor Bank’s service area into Central Arkansas.

“Not only do I get to join such a dynamic organization, I get the opportunity to help Armor grow right out of the gate,” Menefee said. “I’ve worked many years in the Central Arkansas banking market with Armor’s new CEO, Chad May, making this a natural fit for me.”

Menefee brings 15 years of banking experience to Armor, including serving the past eight years as a Commercial Banking Manager for Central and Northeast Arkansas areas with Regions Bank.  Prior to that, he spent seven years with Centennial Bank in Little Rock.

“The banking knowledge that Courtney brings to Armor Bank is invaluable,” Armor Bank CEO Chad May said.  “He will be a huge asset in helping us achieve a presence in Central Arkansas.  We will be prudent and measured in the growth of our franchise as we move toward full-service banking options for our clients, starting with a loan production office.”

Menefee is a graduate of the American Bankers Association National Commercial Lending School.  He is also a member of Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XXX.

A Wynne native, Menefee began his banking career with First National Bank of Wynne at the age of 15. He graduated from Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. Courtney and his wife Sara live in Little Rock with their son, Walter.
